The Shake that Tastes like Cake!!

At Ironside Fitness, we have the priveledge of being the only supplier of 7.2 products in Calgary! One of our favourite products is their protein shake! We have seen great results from our clients who use this protein shake, so lets look at why it is so great! The 7.2 Shake tastes so good, we sometimes forget just how good it is for us. For #TipThursday let’s take a peak at just a couple of the Shake’s ingredients today so we can all gain an even better appreciation of what has become known as “The Shake That Tastes Like Cake”.#TipThursday The Shake that tastes like Cake!

One of my favorite ingredients in the 7.2 Shake is the Organic Certified Quinoa Sprouts. This 5,000 year-old gluten free grain was once called the, “Gold of the Incas” for its ability to increase the stamina of their warriors. Quinoa has a high protein content and is a complete protein, which means it contains all 9 essential amino acids. Quinoa is rich in lysine which is essential for tissue growth and repair. Which is perfect for post workout recovery! Quinoa is also a great source of minerals, especially manganese, iron, copper, and phosphorus.

7.2 Shake also contains Organic Certified Millet, which is high in protein and fiber and is gluten free. Millet is rich in B vitamins (especially niacin, B6 and folic acid), and is loaded with minerals (calcium, iron,potassium, magnesium and zinc). Millet is naturally alkaline and a great source of energy.

Another hidden gem in the 7.2 Shake is Organic Certified Amaranth. This gluten free grain contains more fiber and iron than wheat! Amaranth is also high in protein and is a good source of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and manganese.

7.2 Shake not only tastes great, but it is chock full of great nutrition to keep you looking good and feeling great. So blend up your favorite 7.2 Shake and enjoy! Here are a few of my favourite ways to enjoy it!

  • – 2 scoops of 7.2 Protein Shake with 2 cups of liquid (mostly water, but you can add in Almond or Coconut milk for a different flavour!)
  • -1 scoop of 7.2 Protein Shake mixed into plain organic greek yogurt (I add a little water to thin it out!)
  • -in replace of flour in pancake batter for yummy, high protein pancakes!
  • -in replace of half the flour in any baking! It turns your morning muffin into a high protein snack!
